Intelligems Pricing 2026: What It Actually Costs, Every Tier
Intelligems publishes two very different prices for the same product. The Shopify App Store says $69 a month. Its own pricing page says $2,894 a month. Both are accurate. This page explains why, and shows you how to work out the number you would actually pay.

The short answer
If you want one number to plan around, take the Shopify App Store listing as your floor and assume it rises with your order volume. As of August 12, 2026 the listing shows four plans: Smart Content at $69/month or $660/year, Smart Merchandise at $112/month or $1,072/year, Smart Shipping at $112/month or $1,072/year, and Unlimited at $349/month or $3,468/year (apps.shopify.com/intelligems). Every plan carries a 14-day free trial, and the listing states plainly that pricing scales based on sitewide order volume.
That last sentence is the one that matters, and it is easy to skim past. Intelligems' own pricing page, configured for a store doing up to 200,000 orders, lists the Unlimited plan at $2,894/month, discounted to $1,279/month, with a further 20% off for annual billing and a three-month minimum commitment (intelligems.io/pricing). That is not a different product. It is the same plan at a different point on the same scale.
So the honest answer to "how much does Intelligems cost" is: somewhere between $69 and roughly $1,300 a month, and where you land is a function of how many orders you do. Anyone quoting you a single figure without asking your order volume is quoting the wrong number.
Why the two prices disagree
Search for this and you will find at least four different answers on the first page. On August 12, 2026, page one of Google for "intelligems pricing" carried:
- the Shopify App Store listing, "Testing Pricing From $69/month";
- Convert.com, stating that Intelligems "gates it to Plus at $374/mo (paid annually)";
- ABConvert's comparison post, which lists $499, $374, $399, $599 and $999 a month across its named tiers;
- and a People Also Ask box asking "What is the price of Intelligems?", answered by an AI Overview.
Five figures, one product, no indication of which applies to whom.
None of those sources is being dishonest. They are quoting different rungs of a ladder, at different times, without saying which rung. Competitor comparison pages in particular have an incentive to quote the tier that makes their own pricing look best, which is not deception so much as selective framing, but it leaves a merchant with five numbers and no way to tell which one applies to them.
The underlying model is usage-based pricing, which is common and defensible: a store doing 200,000 orders a month gets far more value from a testing platform than one doing 500, and charging both the same would be strange. The problem is not the model. The problem is that the ladder is not published, so you cannot find your own rung without talking to sales.
The Shopify App Store tiers
These are the figures a merchant sees before installing, read directly off the listing on August 12, 2026.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| Smart Content | $69 | $660 (save 20%) |
| Smart Merchandise | $112 | $1,072 (save 20%) |
| Smart Shipping | $112 | $1,072 (save 20%) |
| Unlimited | $349 | $3,468 (save 17%) |
The modular structure is the thing to notice. Intelligems is not one product with tiers; it is several products you can buy separately. Smart Content handles copy and layout testing, Smart Merchandise handles product and collection merchandising, Smart Shipping handles shipping-rate and threshold testing. If you only need one job done, you are not obliged to buy the whole platform, and $69 a month for a focused content-testing tool is a reasonable price.
For context on how the listing is received, the app carried a 4.8 star rating across 163 reviews on August 12, 2026, with 94% of those at five stars. That is a genuinely strong record and worth weighing against anything you read here about pricing clarity.
The direct tiers
Intelligems' own pricing page presents the offer differently. Rather than four app modules, it shows two routes: Unlimited and Build Your Own.
Unlimited, as configured on the page, is listed at $2,894/month with a discounted rate of $1,279/month, a 44% saving, plus a further 20% off if you pay annually. It carries a three-month minimum commitment and covers up to 200,000 orders. It includes every module with unlimited testing, personalizations and AI usage, and adds a dedicated customer success manager, a storefront audit and white-glove onboarding.
Build Your Own is the modular route, matching the App Store structure: pick the pieces you need, with bundle discounts of 5% for two modules, 10% for three, and 15% for four or more. Expert Support is excluded from those discounts.
The white-glove services attached to Unlimited are worth pricing honestly. A dedicated CSM, a storefront audit and hands-on onboarding are real work by real people, and they are a large part of what separates $349 from $1,279. If you would not use them, you are buying a service layer you do not need, and Build Your Own is the more rational route.
How order-volume scaling works
Both the App Store listing and the pricing page tie cost to sitewide order volume, not to sessions, not to the number of tests, and not to revenue. That distinction has practical consequences.
Because the meter is orders rather than traffic, a high-converting store pays more than a low-converting one at identical traffic. There is a mild irony there: the better your conversion rate, the more your conversion tooling costs. It also means seasonal spikes move your bill. A store that does 8,000 orders in a normal month and 30,000 in November is not on one rung of the ladder, it is on two.
The published anchor points are the Unlimited plan covering up to 200,000 orders, with the pricing page using 10,000 orders per month as a baseline reference. Between those two figures the ladder is not published, which is the single biggest gap in the public information and the reason this article exists. If your store sits between them, you cannot compute your price from public sources. You have to ask.
What price testing actually costs
This is the part most likely to catch someone out, because price testing is the headline reason merchants look at Intelligems in the first place.
Price testing is gated by tier. Intelligems' pricing page states that the Limited tier permits 1 price test per month, 12 per year, while the Unlimited tier permits unlimited concurrent tests plus multi-currency pricing support.
One price test a month is a meaningful constraint, and not only a commercial one. A price test needs enough orders per variant to separate a real margin change from noise, and price is a metric with high variance because order values are skewed. If a single test takes you six weeks to conclude honestly, a twelve-tests-a-year allowance is not the binding limit. But if you have the volume to conclude a test in ten days, the allowance becomes the thing standing between you and a testing cadence, and you are pushed toward the tier where the price climbs.
The practical advice: before you buy, decide whether price testing specifically is the job. If it is, confirm in writing which tier gives you the cadence you need, because that answer determines your price far more than the module list does.
The trial and the minimum commitment
Every plan starts with a 14-day trial and the pricing page states no credit card is required, which is genuinely merchant-friendly. There is one caveat on the same page worth reading carefully: full Smart Pricing access is restricted during the trial.
If you are trialling the platform to evaluate price testing, that restriction matters, because it means the trial may not exercise the feature you are actually assessing. It is not hidden, but it is easy to miss, and fourteen days is already short for a testing tool. A meaningful A/B test on a mid-sized store rarely concludes inside two weeks, so a trial of that length tells you about the interface and the setup experience rather than about the results.
The Unlimited plan also carries a three-month minimum commitment. That is a normal term for a plan bundled with onboarding and a dedicated CSM, and it is disclosed, but it converts a monthly decision into a quarterly one. Budget for the commitment rather than the first invoice.
Working out your number
Four questions get you to a realistic figure faster than a demo will.
- What is your sitewide monthly order count, at peak rather than at average? The meter is orders, and your bill follows your busiest month, not your typical one.
- Do you need price testing, or content testing? If content, Smart Content at $69/month may be the whole answer. If price, you are on the tier ladder and the allowance question decides where.
- Will you use the service layer? A CSM, an audit and white-glove onboarding are a large share of the Unlimited premium. If you have an agency or an in-house analyst already, you are paying twice for the same function.
- Can you actually conclude a test at your volume? This is the question nobody selling you software will ask. Work out how many orders per variant you need before you work out what the software costs, because a tool you cannot feed is expensive at any price. Our significance calculator will tell you in about a minute.
Who it is worth it for
Intelligems is worth it if price and offer testing is a genuine lever for your business, you have the order volume to conclude tests in weeks rather than quarters, and margin is the number you are optimising rather than raw conversion rate. It is one of very few tools that treats price as a first-class testable variable on Shopify, and a 4.8 rating across 163 reviews suggests the merchants who fit it are happy. If your catalogue has real pricing latitude, the upside on a single successful price test can cover a year of the subscription.
You should wait if you are doing a few hundred orders a month. The constraint is not budget, it is arithmetic: with skewed order values you need a lot of orders per variant to distinguish a real margin improvement from noise, and a store at that volume will spend a quarter on one inconclusive price test. Spending $69 a month to learn nothing slowly is worse value than spending nothing. Fix the larger, more obvious leaks first, which is what our Shopify CRO guide is for, and come back to price testing when you have the volume to feed it.

Questions merchants keep asking
- How much does Intelligems cost?
- It depends on your order volume, which is why you will see different numbers in different places. On the Shopify App Store the modules start at $69/month for Smart Content and the Unlimited plan is listed at $349/month. On Intelligems' own pricing page the Unlimited plan is listed at $2,894/month, discounted to $1,279/month, for a store doing up to 200,000 orders. Both figures are current as of August 12, 2026. The App Store shows the entry point of a scale; the website shows a high-volume tier.
- Why does the Shopify App Store show a lower price than the Intelligems website?
- Because the App Store listing shows the starting price and states that pricing scales based on sitewide order volume. The website configures a plan for a much larger store. Neither is wrong, but the App Store number is a floor rather than a quote, so a high-volume store should not budget from it.
- Is price testing included in the cheapest Intelligems plan?
- No. Price testing is gated by tier. Intelligems' pricing page states that the Limited tier allows 1 price test per month (12 per year), while the Unlimited tier allows unlimited concurrent tests plus multi-currency pricing support. If price testing is the reason you are buying, check which tier you land on before you commit.
- Does Intelligems have a free trial?
- Yes, 14 days, and the pricing page states no credit card is required. One caveat worth knowing: the same page notes that full Smart Pricing access is restricted during the trial, so the trial may not let you exercise the feature you are evaluating.
- Is there a minimum contract?
- The Unlimited plan carries a 3-month minimum commitment according to Intelligems' pricing page as of August 12, 2026. The modular plans on the Shopify App Store are billed monthly through Shopify.
- Is Intelligems worth it for a small Shopify store?
- Probably not yet, and the reason is statistical rather than financial. Price testing needs enough orders per variant to separate a real margin change from noise, and a store doing a few hundred orders a month will spend months on a single conclusive test. Intelligems is built for stores with the order volume to run several tests at once, which is also the volume where its pricing starts climbing.
A note on sources. Every price, plan name and term on this page was read off intelligems.io/pricing or apps.shopify.com/intelligems on August 12, 2026 and is quoted as published. Usage-based pricing changes, and the rungs between the published anchor points are not public. Treat this as a map of how the pricing works rather than a quote, and confirm your own figure with Intelligems before you commit.
