Triple Whale Pricing 2026: The Full GMV Ladder, $219 to $4,199

Triple Whale's Shopify App Store listing says $219 a month. That number is real, but it is the bottom rung of a 22-step ladder keyed to your annual GMV. Foundation is $549/month at $1M to $2.5M of annual GMV and $2,529/month at $15M to $20M. Automate runs $749 to $4,199 across the same bands. Above $20M, every band says "Talk to sales". Below is the complete ladder, swept off the vendor's own slider.

What Triple Whale is good at

Triple Whale is a profit and attribution layer. Its Triple Pixel captures cross-device, cross-platform behaviour that ad platforms miss, and it feeds a multi-touch attribution model, a BI suite with no-code dashboards and a SQL editor, customer segments, and Moby, its AI operator that works inside Triple Whale and Slack. Its pricing page describes it as the AI operating system for ecommerce and claims more than 60,000 brands. Its own benchmark data is good enough that we cite it elsewhere on this site, in our funnel drop-off breakdown.

If you spend meaningfully on paid media and you cannot currently answer "which channel actually produced that order", this is the category of tool that answers it, and Triple Whale is one of the better answers in it. The App Store listing carries a 4.0 star rating across 83 reviews as of August 25, 2026, which is solid rather than spectacular, and lower than several smaller apps in adjacent categories.

How much does Triple Whale cost per month?

All pricing is keyed to two things: your brand's annual GMV, and which of three packages you pick. Triple Whale's own pricing FAQ states this plainly, saying prices are based on a combination of your annual GMV and the package you choose from Foundation, Automate or Enterprise.

The pricing page carries a slider labelled "Your annual GMV" with 22 positions. It opens on $1M to $2.5M, so the first prices most visitors see are $549/month for Foundation and $1,349/month for Automate, not the $219 and $749 published on the App Store. There is also a Free plan at $0/month, and an Enterprise package that is Contact Sales at every single band.

One practical note before the table. On August 25, 2026, www.triplewhale.com/pricing returned HTTP 403 to a plain command-line request and to a standard fetch tool, both behind Cloudflare. I could only read it by driving a headless browser. That is routine bot protection, but it has a consequence worth naming: the ladder below is not reachable by the crawlers and AI assistants merchants increasingly ask for pricing. The only Triple Whale price a bot reads easily is the App Store's $219, the entry rung.

The complete GMV ladder, all 22 bands

I stepped the slider through all 22 positions and recorded the band label alongside each plan card. Nine bands carry a published price. Thirteen do not. Every figure is monthly, on monthly billing.

Annual GMV Foundation Automate
Under $250K $219 $749
$250K to $500K $329 $899
$500K to $1M $429 $1,099
$1M to $2.5M (slider default) $549 $1,349
$2.5M to $5M $799 $1,799
$5M to $7.5M $1,129 $2,399
$7.5M to $10M $1,529 $2,899
$10M to $15M $1,849 $3,499
$15M to $20M $2,529 $4,199
$20M to $350M (13 bands) Talk to sales Talk to sales

The thirteen unpriced bands are: $20M to $30M, $30M to $40M, $40M to $50M, $50M to $60M, $60M to $75M, $75M to $100M, $100M to $125M, $125M to $150M, $150M to $175M, $175M to $200M, $200M to $250M, $250M to $300M, $300M to $350M. Each shows "Talk to sales" on both Foundation and Automate. I am not going to guess what they cost, because a guessed enterprise price is worse than no price.

The shape matters more than any single row. Foundation climbs steeply above $1M: $549 at $1M to $2.5M becomes $1,129 at $5M to $7.5M and $2,529 at $15M to $20M. That is a defensible model, since a $20M brand extracts far more from an attribution platform than a $200K one. It is simply not a model you can budget for from the App Store listing.

The add-on arithmetic

Triple Whale sells five power-ups on top of the base plans. Two of them carry prices, and here is the detail that most write-ups get wrong: the priced add-ons scale with GMV too. If you have seen Retention quoted at a flat $179 and Conversion at a flat $59, those are the figures for the $1M to $2.5M band only, because that is where the slider happens to open.

Annual GMV Retention add-on Conversion add-on
Under $250K $79 $19
$250K to $500K $99 $29
$500K to $1M $129 $49
$1M to $2.5M $179 $59
$2.5M to $5M $249 $79
$5M to $7.5M $349 $99
$7.5M to $10M $479 $139
$10M to $15M $579 $159
$15M to $20M $749 $219
Above $20M Talk to sales Talk to sales

Retention syncs segments out to your advertising and retention platforms. Conversion adds site analytics with custom events. Both are marked "Included" on Automate and Enterprise. The other three power-ups, Compass, Data Warehouse Sync and Moby Concierge, carry no number anywhere on the page and are Talk to Sales at every band. Compass is marked included on Enterprise only.

Foundation plus add-ons versus Automate

Because Automate bundles Retention and Conversion, the natural question is whether buying Foundation and both add-ons is cheaper than stepping up. It is, at every priced band, and by more than most people expect.

Annual GMV Foundation + both add-ons Automate Automate premium
Under $250K $317 $749 +$432
$250K to $500K $457 $899 +$442
$500K to $1M $607 $1,099 +$492
$1M to $2.5M $787 $1,349 +$562
$2.5M to $5M $1,127 $1,799 +$672
$5M to $7.5M $1,577 $2,399 +$822
$7.5M to $10M $2,147 $2,899 +$752
$10M to $15M $2,587 $3,499 +$912
$15M to $20M $3,497 $4,199 +$702

There is no crossover point. Automate never becomes the cheaper way to get Retention and Conversion, anywhere on the ladder. The premium runs from $432/month at the entry band to $912/month at $10M to $15M. So if you are weighing the step up, ignore the bundled add-ons in the comparison entirely and ask a narrower question: are Automations and Moby Specialists worth roughly $500 to $900 a month to you? Automations let Moby run recurring jobs on a schedule or a trigger, and Specialists are pre-built agents aimed at specific KPIs. That is the actual thing you are buying.

Annual billing, and the 17% question

The pricing page has a Pay Annually toggle labelled "Get 2 months free". I checked whether that is literal, and it is. Annual price equals monthly price times ten, exactly, at every band I tested: $219 becomes $2,190, $549 becomes $5,490, and $2,529 becomes $25,290. Automate behaves identically, with $749 becoming $7,490 and $4,199 becoming $41,990. The add-ons follow the same rule.

The App Store expresses the same discount as "save 17%", which is the identical offer stated differently, since two free months out of twelve is 16.7%. This is the one place the two surfaces agree without needing any reconciliation.

Why the App Store number is lower

On August 25, 2026, apps.shopify.com/triplewhale-1 shows three pricing cards: Free at $0, Foundation at $219/month or $2,190/year, and Automate at $749/month or $7,490/year. The word "GMV" does not appear anywhere on the listing. Neither does any indication that the price varies by store size.

Those numbers are not wrong. They are the under-$250K band, reproduced accurately. A listing card is a fixed slot and a GMV ladder is not a fixed number, so something has to give, and what gives is the tiering. A store at $1M to $2.5M budgeting from the listing will be out by 2.5 times, and a store at $15M to $20M by 11.5 times.

Two smaller details on the same listing are worth knowing. First, it carries an explicit notice that external charges may be billed by Triple Whale separately from your Shopify invoice, and that recurring and usage-based charges are billed every 30 days in USD. Your Triple Whale spend may not land on the Shopify bill you reconcile. Second, the Foundation card describes itself as "Everything in Starter, plus", while the plan directly above it is named Free. There is no Starter plan on either surface, which is a small sign the listing copy has drifted from the current plan names.

None of this is deceptive. It is the ordinary friction of fitting a usage-scaled model into a marketplace card. It just means the App Store price is a floor, not a quote.

Working out your own number

  1. Find your annual GMV, not your net revenue. Take the last twelve months and be honest about which side of a boundary you sit on, because crossing from $1M to $2.5M into $2.5M to $5M costs $250/month on Foundation alone.
  2. Pick the package before the add-ons. If you only need trusted attribution and dashboards, Foundation is the plan. Automations and Specialists are the entire case for Automate.
  3. Add the two priced add-ons at your band, not at the default. Read them off the row that matches your GMV. At $5M to $7.5M that is $349 and $99, not $179 and $59.
  4. Check it against your contribution margin. A $549/month tool needs to earn $6,588 a year in decisions you would not otherwise have made. Work that through your real per-order margin rather than your revenue, which our contribution margin guide walks through.

Who it fits, and who should wait

Triple Whale fits a store spending real money across several paid channels, where the attribution question is costing you budget every week and nobody can answer it from the ad platforms alone. At $2M of GMV, $549/month is roughly 0.3% of GMV for a decision layer over your entire media spend. The higher bands are aimed at brands where a single misallocated channel costs more per month than the subscription does.

You should wait if your paid spend is small or concentrated in one channel. Multi-touch attribution earns its keep when there are touches to attribute; with one channel and organic, you are buying a resolution you cannot act on. The Free plan is unusually generous here and is the right place to start: Triple Pixel, first- and last-click attribution and a 12-month lookback at $0 will tell you whether the paid tiers would change any decision you make. Below roughly $500K of GMV, the bigger wins are usually still on the store itself rather than in the media mix, and our Shopify conversion rate benchmarks are a faster way to find out whether your funnel or your attribution is the weak link.

A note on where we sit: we are building StorePilot, a CRO agent for Shopify. It is not a Triple Whale competitor, it does not do attribution, and it is not yet listed on the Shopify App Store, so it cannot be installed on a live store today. This page exists because the ladder above was not written down anywhere, not to sell you something instead.

Questions merchants keep asking

How much does Triple Whale cost per month?
It depends on your annual GMV. Triple Whale's pricing page prices two plans across 22 GMV bands. Foundation runs from $219/month under $250K of annual GMV to $2,529/month at $15M to $20M. Automate runs from $749/month to $4,199/month across the same bands. Above $20M, all thirteen remaining bands say "Talk to sales". There is also a genuine $0 Free plan. All figures read off www.triplewhale.com/pricing on August 25, 2026.
Why does the Shopify App Store show $219 when the pricing page shows more?
Because the App Store listing publishes the entry rung and does not mention GMV tiering anywhere. On August 25, 2026 the listing at apps.shopify.com/triplewhale-1 shows exactly three cards: Free, Foundation at $219/month, and Automate at $749/month. Those two numbers are correct, but they are correct only for stores under $250K of annual GMV. A store at $1M to $2.5M pays $549 for the same Foundation plan, which is 2.5 times the listed price, and a store at $15M to $20M pays $2,529, which is 11.5 times it.
Does Triple Whale have a free plan?
Yes, and it is a real one rather than a trial. The Free plan is $0/month on both the vendor pricing page and the Shopify App Store listing, and it includes 10 users, Triple Pixel tracking, first- and last-click attribution, a 12-month lookback, integrations across ads, Amazon, email and SMS, a standard post-purchase survey, and AI visibility insights for ChatGPT. What it does not include is multi-touch attribution, which is the reason most people buy the product.
How much are the Triple Whale add-ons?
They scale with GMV as well, which is easy to miss. The Retention add-on runs from $79/month under $250K of GMV to $749/month at $15M to $20M. The Conversion add-on runs from $19/month to $219/month across the same bands. Both are marked "Included" on Automate and Enterprise. Three further add-ons, Compass, Data Warehouse Sync and Moby Concierge, carry no number at all and are Talk to Sales at every band.
Is Automate worth the step up from Foundation?
Not on add-on value alone. Automate includes the Retention and Conversion add-ons, so the obvious comparison is Foundation plus both against Automate. At every one of the nine priced bands, Automate still costs more: $432/month more at the lowest band, $562/month more at $1M to $2.5M, and $702/month more at $15M to $20M. The add-ons never close the gap. If Automate is worth it for you, it is worth it for Automations and Moby Specialists, not for the bundled add-ons.
How does annual billing work?
The pricing page offers a Pay Annually toggle labelled "Get 2 months free", and that is exactly what it is. Annual price equals monthly price multiplied by ten at every band I checked: $219 becomes $2,190, $549 becomes $5,490, and $2,529 becomes $25,290. The Shopify App Store expresses the same thing as "save 17%", which is the same discount stated the other way around, since two months out of twelve is 16.7%.
Is Triple Whale billed through Shopify?
Not necessarily. The App Store listing carries an explicit notice that external charges may be billed by Triple Whale separately from your Shopify invoice, and that recurring and usage-based charges are billed every 30 days in USD. The line may not appear on the Shopify bill you reconcile.

A note on sources and method. Every price, band label, plan name and term on this page was read off www.triplewhale.com/pricing or apps.shopify.com/triplewhale-1 on August 25, 2026. The ladder was captured by stepping the annual-GMV slider through all 22 of its positions in a headless browser and recording each state, because the pricing page returns HTTP 403 to ordinary requests. The 4.0 rating across 83 reviews is taken from the App Store listing's own structured data rather than from any vendor claim. Usage-scaled pricing changes, and the thirteen bands above $20M of GMV are not published at all, so treat this as a map of how the pricing works rather than as a quote, and confirm your own figure with Triple Whale before you commit.
